Have you seen the Look Up video?
The other night I walked by our local Radio Shack. There were no customers in the store. The two teenage employees were each sitting on the center cash wrap island, opposite each other, their eyes glued to their cell phones.
Hopefully they would at least take time out to look up if a customer walked in, but it is a real turn off to customers when they catch employees on their cell phones. The message to employees from the top should be leave your cell phones at home or you won’t be working here.
It was amazing and very sad to witness this, yet I was not surprised. Customer service in this day and age of cell phones continues to get worse. Employees can be seen using their cell phones and texting at work. Worst yet, managers and owners have not laid down the law.
The following Look Up video shows just what we miss when we are on our cell phones, not only at work (where we lose customers), but in life.
